The Operational Risk Group Manager, with a dedicated focus on Third Party Risk Management, is accountable for the comprehensive management of complex, critical, and large professional disciplinary areas within Citi's Third-Party Risk Management program specific to the U S Personal Banking (USPB) business. This role leads and directs a team of professionals, ensuring effective risk management practices are in place for external third-party relationships that carry the highest degree of risk for Citi's businesses.
Job Responsibility:
Establishes and oversees operational risk policies, governance processes, and tools to minimize losses tied to third party risks
Leads and drives effective risk management practices for external third-party relationships, particularly those with the highest risk
Supports Business Activity Owners across the business who are responsible for third party oversight
Conducts and advises on Third Party Risk Assessments, verifying third-party compliance with policies, controls, and contractual obligations
Monitors third-party performance and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), defines and implements risk mitigation strategies, manages exit strategies, and drives resolution of non-performance escalations
Facilitates remediation of identified issues or gaps and supports third-party audit/exam deliverables
Collaborates extensively with internal functions for coordinated risk management activities and best practice sharing
Ensures ethical conduct and regulatory compliance by appropriately assessing risk in all business decisions
Requirements:
10+ years relevant experience
Significant experience in Operational Risk is a must, with a strong focus on third-party risk management
Broad knowledge of risk areas including business continuity, operational risk, supplier risk, audit and controls, with a strong understanding of supplier or third-party risk impact in a financial services company
Excellent communication skills – verbal & written – with the ability to articulate complex and sensitive issues to management
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple deliverables while working with minimal supervision in a large, global corporate environment
