Job Description

Our client is a foreign bank looking for an experienced Operational Risk Consultant to join our team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with expertise in operational risk management and a proven ability to address regulatory challenges. You will lead initiatives to strengthen risk frameworks and ensure alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the development and implementation of the Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) in accordance with enterprise risk principles and regulatory requirements
  • Manage the rollout of operational risk programs across various risk categories, ensuring consistency and effectiveness
  • Establish governance structures to support oversight and reporting of operational risks
  • Design and maintain dashboards and key risk indicators (KRIs) to monitor the operational risk profile
  • Prepare detailed reports for senior management and board-level stakeholders, highlighting key risk insights
  • Monitor regulatory changes and update internal policies to ensure compliance
  • Conduct enterprise-wide risk assessments to define risk profiles and aggregate operational risk exposures
  • Enhance operational risk taxonomy to improve the identification, assessment, and reporting of risks

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in operational risk management and regulatory compliance at a major bank
  • Strong knowledge of operational risk management frameworks
  • Strong and direct experience leading regulatory issue remediation at major banks
  • Proven ability to create and implement governance mechanisms for risk oversight
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a forward-thinking approach
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging with senior leadership and stakeholders
