Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Operational Performance. The role is to ensure high-standard completion of FCA Consumer Duty reports and support the embedding of ownership for processes, policies, risks, and controls across the first line, aligning with strategic objectives to strengthen accountability.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure all FCA required Consumer Duty reports, assessments and reviews are completed to a high-standard and in a timely manner
  • Create, maintain and review all other documents relating to the internal governance of the Duty
  • Support the embedding of ownership for processes, policies, risks, and controls across the first line
  • Provide written and verbal reports on Consumer Duty and Customer Outcomes to senior management
  • Produce the Consumer Duty Principle 12 Report
  • Undertake the Price and Value Assessment
  • Undertake product reviews for all Transact wrappers
  • Review and maintain the Consumer Duty and Conduct Risk Framework document
  • Create the Consumer Duty and Conduct Risk Forum and Board Pack
  • Work with the Training team to produce annual Consumer Duty training
  • Develop a framework and drive the embedding of ownership for policies, processes, risks, and controls across the business
  • Manage the end-to-end policy review cycle
  • Support the detailed review and mapping of key processes linked to Important Business Services
  • Ensure all core processes are centrally stored and supported by robust business evidence

Requirements

  • Experienced Financial Services professional
  • Detailed understanding of the FCA’s Consumer Duty rules
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Previous experience of producing high quality Consumer Duty reports for Board level and regulatory audiences
  • Strong intellect and analytical ability
  • Exceptional planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to consistently deliver high‑quality work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
