Job Description

To support the ODD Team in conducting operational due diligence analysis on alternative investment funds across Asia Pacific. Progression to the Lead Analyst position is anticipated in the short term, contingent on successful completion of the training program and a proven track record of delivery.

Job Responsibility

  • Review and interpret financial statements, offering documents and another fund literature. Produce research deliverables for clients within the scheduled deadline
  • Conduct onsite interviews with fund managers to discuss operational risks, internal controls and information systems, as well as verifying existence of assets
  • Use skills and experience to contribute to these meetings and to prepare clear and concise written notes to summarize the findings
  • Ensure client deliverables are prepared, reviewed, and delivered on a timely and accurate basis
  • Contribute to client newsletters and internal wikis. Participate in production of white paper research for distribution to clients
  • Follow Albourne's “Best Practices” with respect to operational due diligence
  • Proactively identify tasks to assist other members of the Asia ODD team
  • Ensure information within internal database is kept up to date
  • Other ad-hoc projects from time to time upon request

Requirements

  • University graduate or equivalent
  • 3+ years relevant prior work experience, with knowledge or experience with hedge funds or private markets. Exposure to operations/administration/audit/legal/compliance/technology would be useful
  • Proactive self-starter, proficient at time management and multi-tasking
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Professional demeanour and strong interpersonal skills
  • Systems literacy (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook)
  • Ability to travel when required
  • Compliance with the Compliance Manual and other Albourne Policies and procedures, including, but not limited to IFFM
