Job Description

We are seeking an experienced operations support professional to join our telecoms and cloud services environment. This role focuses on supporting Unix/Linux-based platforms and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure while ensuring high service quality across telecom and data services. The individual will work closely with stakeholders in a dynamic, multicultural setting, contributing to operational excellence, service reliability, and continuous improvement aligned with organisational goals.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide technical operations support across Unix/Linux platforms and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Support databases using OCI, SQL and PostgreSQL (psql) with a focus on stability and performance
  • Work with Master Data Management (MDM) technologies to support data integrity and service delivery
  • Monitor and manage systems using tools such as Nagios and Dynatrace to ensure availability and performance
  • Handle incident, problem and change management activities using Remedy 9 in line with ITIL practices
  • Support file transfers using FTP/SFTP and manage secure data exchanges
  • Manage and troubleshoot DNS-related issues across environments
  • Collaborate using platforms such as Confluence and SharePoint to maintain documentation and knowledge sharing
  • Support web applications by applying an understanding of web technologies and development concepts
  • Translate organisational goals into operational objectives related to quality, speed, dependability, flexibility and cost
  • Continuously monitor and improve operational performance while working effectively under pressure in a customer-focused environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • 2-3 years of experience in IT or VAS environments with a technical support operations background
  • Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux platforms and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
  • Strong working knowledge of telecoms and data services support
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Dynatrace), collaboration tools (Confluence, SharePoint), and secure access tools (WinSCP, PuTTY)
  • Understanding of ITIL Foundation principles
  • Conversational English
