We are seeking an experienced operations support professional to join our telecoms and cloud services environment. This role focuses on supporting Unix/Linux-based platforms and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure while ensuring high service quality across telecom and data services. The individual will work closely with stakeholders in a dynamic, multicultural setting, contributing to operational excellence, service reliability, and continuous improvement aligned with organisational goals.
Job Responsibility:
Provide technical operations support across Unix/Linux platforms and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Support databases using OCI, SQL and PostgreSQL (psql) with a focus on stability and performance
Work with Master Data Management (MDM) technologies to support data integrity and service delivery
Monitor and manage systems using tools such as Nagios and Dynatrace to ensure availability and performance
Handle incident, problem and change management activities using Remedy 9 in line with ITIL practices
Support file transfers using FTP/SFTP and manage secure data exchanges
Manage and troubleshoot DNS-related issues across environments
Collaborate using platforms such as Confluence and SharePoint to maintain documentation and knowledge sharing
Support web applications by applying an understanding of web technologies and development concepts
Translate organisational goals into operational objectives related to quality, speed, dependability, flexibility and cost
Continuously monitor and improve operational performance while working effectively under pressure in a customer-focused environment
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or Computer Engineering
2-3 years of experience in IT or VAS environments with a technical support operations background
Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux platforms and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Strong working knowledge of telecoms and data services support
Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Dynatrace), collaboration tools (Confluence, SharePoint), and secure access tools (WinSCP, PuTTY)
Understanding of ITIL Foundation principles
