Main Operating Room Circulating Registered Nurse for Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. Registered nurses with a minimum of 2 years experience circulating in the Operating Room (OR) are welcome to apply! Job Responsibility:

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and professional communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Time management and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn new things
  • Adaptable to change
  • Dedication to the team's success in the operating room
  • Minimum of 2 years experience circulating in the Operating Room (OR)

  • Preparing the operating room ie: equipment setup
  • Preparing Lab specimens

  • Be able to circulate and or scrub a case based on the day's assignment
  • Provide Conscious Sedation to Endoscopy patients
  • Continuously and systematically assesses the health care status of the patient
