Job Description:

Operating Room Circulator RNs are an integral part of the surgical team, providing essential nursing care to patients during surgical cases. Their role requires a high level of accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced surgical environment. Operating Room Circulator RNs are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during surgery. Their ability to maintain a professional approach while providing nursing care is critical in ensuring positive patient outcomes while keeping patients and their families informed. Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op. Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for the nursing activities related to care of the patient experiencing an operative or other invasive procedure
  • Provides guidance to non-licensed personnel
  • Can expect to care for adults patients, including the older adult through geriatric and pediatric patients from 1 month through adolescence

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Minimum of one (1) years previous OR experience REQUIRED
  • Minimum of one (1) year previous experience with Orthopedic, Spine, Total Joints and Pain Management strongly preferred
  • Current Texas License as a Registered Nurse
  • Current in BLS, ACLS and PALS required
  • CNOR preferred
