Operating Room Circulator RNs are an integral part of the surgical team, providing essential nursing care to patients during surgical cases. Their role requires a high level of accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced surgical environment. Operating Room Circulator RNs are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during surgery. Their ability to maintain a professional approach while providing nursing care is critical in ensuring positive patient outcomes while keeping patients and their families informed. Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op. Job Responsibility:
Responsible for the nursing activities related to care of the patient experiencing an operative or other invasive procedure
Provides guidance to non-licensed personnel
Can expect to care for adults patients, including the older adult through geriatric and pediatric patients from 1 month through adolescence
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
Minimum of one (1) years previous OR experience REQUIRED
Minimum of one (1) year previous experience with Orthopedic, Spine, Total Joints and Pain Management strongly preferred
Current Texas License as a Registered Nurse
Current in BLS, ACLS and PALS required
CNOR preferred
