Job Description:

The Operador de piso role at AC Hotel Veracruz involves general maintenance tasks, including preventive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and communication with guests to address issues. The position values attention to detail, professionalism, and teamwork in delivering high-quality service.

Job Responsibility:

Communicate each day’s activities and problems to other shifts
perform surface preparation, painting, drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and filter replacements, and cleanup of repair areas
test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on equipment, plumbing systems, and electrical components
use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work
enter and locate work-related information using computers
adhere to company and safety standards
develop and maintain positive working relationships
move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds

Requirements:

Respond and attend to guest repair requests
communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment
visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
carry equipment (e.g., tools, radio)
identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings
maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
display basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in areas such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry, painting, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building
perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping as well as external landscaping sprinklers
display basic computer skills including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes
speak with others using clear and professional language
adhere to company policies and safety standards

Nice to have:

High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
some experience in general maintenance
experience in hotel engineering or maintenance
related education or certifications
