Job Description

We are seeking a skilled OpenText Technical Consultant with strong SAP integration expertise to design, develop, and support enterprise content management (ECM) and document management solutions. The role focuses on integrating OpenText platforms (Content Server, Extended ECM, VIM, OCR) with SAP systems (ECC / S/4HANA) to streamline business processes and enhance document lifecycle management.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, develop, and implement OpenText solutions (Content Server, Extended ECM, VIM, Capture Center/ICC)
  • Integrate OpenText platforms with SAP ECC / S/4HANA for seamless document and data flow
  • Develop and configure custom workflows, forms, and document management solutions
  • Implement document archiving, retrieval, and lifecycle management solutions within SAP
  • Work on OpenText Archive Server, Document Access, and SAP ArchiveLink integration
  • Develop custom enhancements using ABAP, OpenText APIs, WebReports, and scripting
  • Configure and optimize OpenText xECM (Extended ECM) for SAP
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across OpenText and SAP environments
  • Collaborate with functional consultants and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Support system upgrades, migrations (especially S/4HANA), and performance tuning
  • Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and data governance standards
  • Prepare technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in OpenText ECM technologies
  • Strong hands-on experience with OpenText Content Server and Extended ECM (xECM)
  • Experience integrating OpenText with SAP ECC or S/4HANA
  • Knowledge of SAP ArchiveLink, document archiving, and content management
  • Experience with ABAP development (enhancements, BAdIs, user exits)
  • Familiarity with OpenText WebReports, REST APIs, and scripting (JavaScript, etc.)
  • Experience with OpenText Archive Server and document lifecycle management
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills
  • Good understanding of SAP modules (FI, MM, SD)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to have

  • Experience with OpenText VIM, OCR (ICC/Capture Center), and document capture solutions
  • Knowledge of SAP BTP / Integration Suite (CPI)
  • Exposure to cloud deployments and OpenText Cloud
  • Experience in S/4HANA transformation projects
  • Familiarity with security roles, authorizations, and compliance frameworks
  • OpenText and/or SAP technical certifications
