Job Description

We are seeking an experienced OpenText OCR Consultant with SAP Integration expertise to design and implement intelligent document processing solutions. The role focuses on automating document capture, classification, and data extraction using OpenText OCR tools, with seamless integration into SAP systems (ECC / S/4HANA), particularly for finance and procurement processes.

Job Responsibility

  • Implement and configure OpenText OCR / Intelligent Capture solutions (OpenText Capture Center, Intelligent Capture)
  • Design and optimize document classification, data extraction, and validation workflows
  • Develop OCR templates for business documents such as invoices, purchase orders, delivery notes, and contracts
  • Integrate OCR solutions with SAP systems (ECC / S/4HANA) for automated document posting and processing
  • Work with OpenText VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) or similar solutions for invoice automation
  • Configure data mapping, validation rules, and exception handling workflows
  • Ensure high levels of data accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders (Finance, AP, Procurement) to gather requirements and deliver solutions
  • Troubleshoot OCR extraction issues and improve recognition accuracy through tuning and enhancements
  • Support system upgrades, testing (SIT/UAT), and production support
  • Prepare technical documentation and user training materials

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in OCR / Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions
  • Hands-on experience with OpenText Capture Center / Intelligent Capture
  • Strong experience in SAP integration (ECC or S/4HANA)
  • Experience with OpenText VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) or invoice processing solutions
  • Good understanding of SAP Finance (AP) and Procurement processes
  • Knowledge of document classification, data extraction, and validation techniques
  • Experience with workflow automation and exception handling
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills

Nice to have

  • Experience with OpenText Extended ECM for SAP
  • Knowledge of SAP BTP / Integration Suite (CPI) or middleware tools
  • Exposure to AI/ML-based document processing
  • Experience with RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere)
  • Familiarity with global compliance and invoice regulations (e.g., e-invoicing)
  • OpenText or SAP-related certifications
