Job Description

The University of Illinois at Chicago, Department of Medicine, is actively recruiting a clinically oriented hepatologist at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level (rank/tenure commensurate with qualifications) to expand our liver center and transplant program.

Job Responsibility

  • Expand liver center and transplant program
  • Manage end-stage liver disease, viral hepatitis, and liver cancer
  • Travel to Hepatology Outreach Clinic sites
  • Academic productivity and scholarly activity

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Experience in clinical hepatology
  • Experience in transplant hepatology or a separate transplant fellowship is a major plus
