Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at the Bosphorus is looking for a reliable and flexible Open On-Call Cook to support our Banquet Kitchen operations, delivering consistently high-quality food for events, functions, and large-scale service in line with Four Seasons standards. In this role, you will work closely with the Banquet Culinary team, contributing to food preparation and service execution for conferences, weddings, and special events. Flexibility, discipline, and the ability to perform under pressure are essential to succeed in this position.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and produce food in line with Four Seasons Performance Standards, ensuring quality and consistency
Support daily kitchen operations, including mise en place for meat, poultry, seafood, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products
Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work environment at all times
Follow all food safety, hygiene, health, and fire safety regulations without exception
Read and execute kitchen orders accurately using the Micros system
Assist with receiving, storing, and handling food supplies in accordance with hotel standards
Monitor stock levels, minimize waste, and ensure proper product usage
Carry out opening and closing procedures as assigned
Adapt to rotational assignments across kitchen sections or other departments when required
Support banquet operations and off-site catering events as needed
Cooperate closely with Stewarding, Food & Beverage outlets, and other hotel departments
Handle guest inquiries professionally and escalate feedback or issues to supervisors when necessary
Attend required trainings, meetings, and briefings
Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by the Sous Chef or Chef de Partie
Requirements:
Basic knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation, and storage techniques
Strong understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards
Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Familiarity with Micros system and written kitchen orders
Ability to work flexibly on an on-call basis, including weekends and holidays
