Job Responsibility:
Support the delivery of before and after school care programs
Work as part of a small, collaborative team to create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children
Support daily routines
Supervise play and activities
Build respectful, professional relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Requirements:
Genuine interest in working with school aged children in a child safe environment
Ability to engage children in safe, inclusive, and age-appropriate activities
Good organisational and time management skills
Current Employee Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
Willingness to complete child protection training and follow all child safe policies
Ability to work collaboratively with Educators and leadership
Strong communication skills with children, families, and colleagues
Nice to have:
Certificate III or IV in Children’s Services or willingness to undertake a traineeship
Interest in completing a traineeship in School Age Education and Care
First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification or willingness to obtain
Previous experience in OOSH or working with school aged children
Experience facilitating games, sport, or creative activities
Working knowledge of the National Quality Framework and My Time, Our Place
Basic computer skills
