Job Description:

Are you an experienced people manager with a background in high-volume recruitment or fast-paced operations? We are looking for a resilient, hands-on leader to take full accountability for our onsite operation at the Sainsbury's Distribution Centre in Haydock. This is a site-based leadership position. You will be responsible for managing a team of 2-4 Account Specialists, overseeing a large temporary workforce, and acting as the primary point of contact for the client's operational leadership.

Job Responsibility:

  • Team leadership: Directly managing, coaching, and developing a team of 2-4 onsite specialists
  • Operational delivery: Ensuring 100% fulfillment across a high-volume temporary workforce
  • Stakeholder management: Building deep relationships with the GM and shift managers at the Distribution Centre
  • Data and MI: Using Management Information to track attrition, productivity, and trends - presenting this to the client and using the data to build strategic future process improvements
  • Employee relations: Overseeing ER cases, investigations, and disciplinaries for the temporary workforce
  • Continuous improvement: Identifying ways to reduce turnover and improve worker engagement on-site

Requirements:

  • People management: experience managing and developing a direct team
  • Experience in a recruitment environment
  • The ability to handle challenging conversations and high-pressure environments
  • Comfortable using data to explain site performance
  • A full UK Driving License is required
