Be the Hands‑On Expert Supporting Surgical Excellence KARL STORZ is seeking Onsite Endoscopic Specialists to join our Service team in the Houston, TX area. In this highly visible role, you’ll provide hands‑on, on‑site support for KARL STORZ endoscopic devices—working directly with Sterile Processing Departments (SPD), Operating Room teams, and Biomedical staff. Job Responsibility
Provide face‑to‑face technical and customer support in the OR, SPD, and Biomed departments
Perform daily maintenance and management of KARL STORZ hand instruments and video equipment
Ensure instrument sets are fully functional, inspected, documented, and always ready for use
Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot video and instrument issues in the operating room
Monitor and manage repairs and equipment replacements within the account’s budget
Train and educate hospital staff on KARL STORZ devices and services
Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce repair costs
Support video tower and system setup for procedures
Inspect, repair, replace, and facilitate repair/exchange transactions for KARL STORZ devices
Transport, clean/sterilize, and package instruments after procedures (as required by account)
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
0–4 years of experience in medical device repair, service, sales, or related healthcare environments
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a service‑driven team environment
Excellent time‑management, organizational, and multitasking skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and reporting tools
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs
Ability to pass a drug screening for a safety‑sensitive position
Nice to have
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification
