National Museums Scotland is currently looking for volunteers to help support our February Half Term events as part of our Family Programme at The National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh. We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic and friendly individuals to join our Learning & Engagement team as one-off event volunteers.

  • Develop and document an annual strategic plan to be shared with the MRC team during planning season that identifies a specific timeline, cross departmental collaborations, and communication needs for recruitment to ensure program, department and organizational goals for MRC are met or exceeded
  • Develop mutually beneficial relationships with representatives from universities, high schools, nonprofits, and community groups to advance MRC’s visibility
  • Work with Resource Development and Communications staff to develop content for social media, newsletters, annual reports, etc.
  • Partner with the MRC Volunteer Manager to ensure synergy between the volunteer recruitment, screening, and management processes
