Job Responsibility

The Oncology RN will care for critically or chronically ill cancer patients
administer chemotherapy
implement new methods of symptom treatment and monitor their patients' progress
create a supportive environment
provide care for cancer patients throughout all stages of their conditions, but usually focusing on the acute phase
assist patients ranging from post-surgical to near-terminal manage their disease and treatment effectively
may also be responsible for administering chemotherapy
educate cancer patients about treatment options, procedures and particularities of the disease

Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Active, unrestricted registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services
Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking
Time management, prioritization and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Proficiency in operating computer functions (e.g., E-mail, electronic records, digital platforms etc.)
