The Oncology RN, Telehealth is responsible for informing and supporting participants to seek the best clinical outcomes.
Job Responsibility:
Assessing and identifying opportunities to support the patient along their health care journey via a conversational approach. Engaging with the caller and building rapport
Providing immediate assistance to symptomatic callers and referral if necessary
Educating caller regarding services that are available to them
Communicating patient preferences to physician led team in order to provide the patient with pertinent health information
Providing health information to the caller based on their health literacy and specific areas of interest
Coordinating development of custom educational content with physician led team
Managing assigned workload, including ongoing client follow-up and customization of report materials, with ease
Providing up-to-date information and guidance on educational materials, web tools, and employer benefit programs for assigned clients. Assisting in web registration and navigation
Conducting feedback surveys with clients to evaluate satisfaction, utilization of services provided and impact of services
Participating in physician conference calls with patients and their families including, in some cases, scheduled calls outside of usual shift
Ensuring compliance with confidentiality and HIPAA requirements per Alight’s policies at all times when handling data or providing services
Performing tasks or responsibilities assigned by Alight to support the company's operational and financial goals
Requirements:
Be a Registered Nurse with a BSN and equivalent experience required
Have certifications in one of the following: Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN), Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC), Certified Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse (CPHON)
Have RN Compact State Nursing License in good standing and Telehealth experience required
Have Experience in a clinical setting providing direct support to patients and their families from diagnosis through treatment
Able to communicate medical information to a nonmedical audience
Display dedication to providing high quality, professional customer service
Have experience working with a variety of digital/internet media and interest in exploring new information technology. Be proficient with computer and internet navigation skills
Maintain enthusiasm, must enjoy working independently and in a team environment
Enjoy and be comfortable with a fast, evolving operation. Must be able to multitask while providing excellent customer service to our participants
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem solving and analytical skills
