Job Description

This position demonstrates exemplary teamwork, service and overall knowledge of Intake records collection following BHSF guidelines. The candidate must be an expert in utilization of Medical records collection tools as stipulated by department‘s policies and workflows. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining knowledge and deployment of practices used within the department as well as throughout BHSF to address staff and patient‘s questions and concerns. The Intake Coordinator 1 will work in collaboration with other LCI personnel in order to facilitate a smooth Intake records collection and coordination of care for patients scheduled with LCI physicians.

Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for maintaining knowledge and deployment of practices used within the department as well as throughout BHSF to address staff and patient‘s questions and concerns
  • Work in collaboration with other LCI personnel in order to facilitate a smooth Intake records collection and coordination of care for patients scheduled with LCI physicians

Requirements

  • Associates degree
  • Employees hired prior to 2022, may substitute 5 years of experience in lieu of an Associates degree
  • Certification preferred in one of the following: CHAA- NAHAM Certified Healthcare Access Associate, CEHRS – Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist, OPN-CG -AONN Oncology Patient Navigator - Certified Generalist, or CITI - Collab Inst Training Init
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent service skills
  • Strong technical skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, HER, EMR)
  • Knowledge/experience in Cerner, Ambra, Vilocity, etc. preferred
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced work environment
  • Required: knowledge of Health Care Regulatory guidelines to include but not limited to HIPAA, AHCA, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of Medical terminology
  • Bilingual desired(English/Spanish)
  • Minimum Required Experience: 3 Years

Nice to have
