Job Description:

The Cleveland Clinic Cancer Institute is seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine physician to join our inpatient oncology hospitalist team at our main campus in Cleveland, Ohio. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to hospitalized patients with hematologic and solid tumor malignancies at a leading academic medical center. The successful candidate will lead the inpatient management of admitted patients with a range of hematologic and solid tumor malignancies during daytime hours (seven day on/seven day off schedule) and will be committed to providing skilled and compassionate care.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborate closely with nursing, pharmacy, case management, palliative care, and consulting services to ensure safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, protocol development, and adherence to institutional and national oncology care standards
  • Provide consistent on-site coverage for the inpatient hematology/oncology service, including weekend/holiday call coverage schedule
  • Manage a dynamic patient census with varying acuity, prioritizing timely consult response and daily rounding
