Job Description

As our Oncology Acute Nurse at Dignity Health St. Joes, you are committed to providing the highest level of patient satisfaction, our 32-Bed Medical-Surgical-Oncology-Telemetry unit, that includes 12 monitored beds, provides unique cross-training opportunities for both experienced and new graduate nurses within this one unit. We are seeking Registered Nurses (RN) to coordinate, supervise and implement patient care based on competence, professional expertise, knowledge and evidence-based practice. Job Responsibility

  • Coordinate, supervise and implement patient care based on competence, professional expertise, knowledge and evidence-based practice
  • Deliver care to 4-6 patients per shift
  • Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation
  • Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State
  • BLS Certification
  • ACLS certification (in monitored areas)

Nice to have

  • Chemotherapy certification
  • One year of recent acute care experience
  • One year of Oncology experience
  • BSN
