We are looking for a dedicated Onboarding Specialist to join our Human Resources team on a contract basis in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring new employees have a seamless and positive onboarding experience. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating processes that support HR compliance and operational excellence.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate and oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately and promptly
Facilitate background checks and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
Collaborate with hiring managers and team leads to streamline onboarding activities and address any concerns
Manage HRIS systems to maintain accurate employee records and track onboarding progress
Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures throughout the onboarding process
Serve as a point of contact for new employees, answering questions and providing guidance during their transition
Develop and improve onboarding materials to enhance the overall experience for new hires
Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure onboarding aligns with organizational goals
Monitor and report on onboarding metrics to identify areas for improvement
Support other HR administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
Proven experience in Human Resources, specifically in onboarding and HR administration
Familiarity with conducting background checks and ensuring compliance with employment regulations
Proficiency in using HRIS systems and maintaining accurate employee records
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on maintaining compliance and accuracy
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
Prior experience in a contract HR role is a plus
