The On-Site Project Support Generalist plays a vital role in ensuring that our field operations run smoothly and safely under the supervision of the Site Superintendent. This position serves as a confined space attendant, responsible for keeping all workers safe and informed while navigating challenging environments. In addition to monitoring safety, the On-Site Project Support Generalist will operate small machinery and perform general labor, providing hands-on support for mechanical repairs and maintenance. This role is essential for preparing and maintaining construction sites and materials, as well as assisting with critical activities such as trenching, backfilling, and grading.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as a confined space attendant: Monitor the confined space entry at all times while workers are inside
Maintain constant communication with workers inside via voice, radio, or signal lines
Track who enters the confined space and prevent unauthorized entry
Watch for signs of distress or unsafe conditions and alert entrants to evacuate if hazards arise
Perform general labor and equipment operations, including operating small machinery such as Bobcats, trucks, and trailers
Support mechanical repairs, maintenance, and fueling of diesel-powered equipment and generators
Prepare and maintain construction sites by cleaning, loading/unloading materials, and ensuring safe use of tools and equipment
Conduct material preparation (e.g., beveling, grinding, caulking, polishing) and assist with trenching, backfilling, and grading activities
Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, rakes, or other hand tools
Other duties as assigned by the Site Superintendent

Proficient in using hand and power tools
able to read and measure accurately
Ability to meticulously organize, track, and maintain record logs and documentation
OSHA 10-hour certification
Confined Space CP
Scaffolding Safety certification
Fall Protection certification
First Aid/ CPR certification
High School Diploma with one or more years of construction experience
