The Assistant Program Manager lives on site and will assist the Director and Case Manager in overseeing daily schedules, meals, household chores, and the provision of support services to residents. This role ensures the home provides a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the health, well-being and personal growth of residents and their infants.
Job Responsibility:
Help coordinate aspects of intake and safety orientation for incoming residents
Assists in getting resident rooms ready and stock necessary household supplies
Attend weekly Staff meeting
Assists the Director to implement and evaluate program goals and services to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of onsite residents
Helps establish daily routines with residents, including but not limited to household chore charts, grocery lists and meal preparation schedules
Ensure the home is well-maintained, safe, and a healthy living environment for all residents, and report necessary repairs to the Director
Ensure the home is well-stocked with food and household goods. If needed, coordinate with food banks, diaper distributions, and volunteers donating goods
Light administrative duties such as word processing, mailings or data entry
Delegates tasks via an App to Volunteer Mentors and “Volunteer House Moms” to assist them during their weekly volunteer shift
As time allows, coordinate Volunteer Group Projects including but not limited to, decorating a bedroom, preparing for holiday parties and specials events, planting a vegetable garden, teaching a hobby, and organizing living spaces in the home
Requirements:
Minimum one year of experience providing human services through employment, academic programs, internships, and/or volunteer roles, particularly with at risk or culturally diverse populations
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, various chore and scheduling apps, email & Canva
Valid Washington State driver’s license
Criminal Background Check and Drug Testing will be required
Nice to have:
Certifications, completed trainings or coursework in any of the following areas is desired, but not required: Trauma-Informed Care and Community Living, ACE Screening Critical Workflows, Human Behavior in the Social Environment, Love and Logic Parenting Strategies, Boundaries by Cloud and Townsend, Human Services Delivery Systems, Crisis Intervention, Stress Management and Resilience, or De-escalation Techniques
Engagement in higher education is welcomed, but not required. Candidates may be actively pursuing, or may have completed, coursework in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related human services field
