Job Description:

Benesch is seeking to hire a Technical Manager to join the Roadway Design team in Raleigh. In this position, you'll hold a first-level technical management position with guidance from senior leadership. This role entails supervising staff, mentoring their technical skills, and contributing to project management on NCDOT projects and beyond.

Job Responsibility:

Provide guidance and direction in technical project elements
Communicate technical progress and issues to Project Managers
Train and mentor staff
Perform, review, and manage technical analyses and designs
Assist with business development and proposal development
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on projects
Share knowledge to enhance organizational learning and performance

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Professional Engineering license in NC
Previous NCDOT project experience and understanding of NCDOT processes and procedures preferred
Showcase strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills to interface with stakeholders
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
