Job Responsibility

Answer the phone using courteous and efficient language, and gather all necessary information for the guest’s order
Present food and beverage selections to guests in an engaging and appealing manner by describing the origin, taste, and preparation methods of each item
Deliver food orders to guest rooms while ensuring special requests and needs are met with care
Check outgoing orders from the kitchen against the guest’s original order or with the person who took the order
Enter guest orders into the hotel’s point-of-sale system, including any special requests, and verify outgoing orders for accuracy
Properly close guest checks, including charges and gratuities
Anticipate guest needs, assess satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond promptly and appropriately to requests or questions
Coordinate timely order delivery to ensure all requests are received, processed, and accurately sent to the kitchen and delivered properly
Work harmoniously and professionally with colleagues and supervisors
Patrol guest hallways to collect trays or items related to In-Room Dining service
