New York Embroidery Studio is seeking a dependable and flexible On-Call Event Technician / Event Facilitator to support live brand activations across NYC. This is a hands-on role supporting both the technical execution of customization services and the guest experience at events. Full training is provided. Depending on the event, you may be assigned as a Technician operating machines or as a Facilitator managing guest flow and logistics.
Job Responsibility:
Support live events including load-in, setup, guest engagement, and breakdown
Operate customization equipment after training (embroidery machines, heat press, laser engraving, debossing)
Act as a guest-facing facilitator when assigned, managing order flow and overall event experience
Assist technicians during high-volume activations
Prep, organize, pack, and maintain materials and equipment before and after events
Maintain a clean, efficient, and professional event setup
Occasionally assist in-studio with equipment prep and organization
Requirements:
Availability for on-call scheduling
hours vary week to week
Ability to work early mornings, late nights, and weekends as needed
Strong communication skills and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude
Comfort engaging with guests in fast-paced environments
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes
Punctual, reliable, and adaptable to last-minute changes
Nice to have:
Experience with embroidery machines, heat press, laser engraving, or debossing
Hand embroidery or textile experience
Background in fashion, events, production, or hospitality
