Job Description

The OMS Test Analyst role will be part of the QA Team. This position is part of a high performing quality assurance team participating in the delivery of quality software. The team works cross functional in an onshore/offshore model to support the testing activities. The position reports administratively to a QA Manager. This role is responsible for test preparation and test execution activities on projects. This role requires oversight from test lead and QA manager and will partner and collaborate with application teams.

Job Responsibility

  • Participates in functional and technical design reviews to ensure understanding of relevant business processes, technologies, and architectures
  • Creates or modifies test scenarios and test cases that are in alignment with functional requirements
  • Ensures appropriate test data is defined and available in the test environment
  • Executes and statuses test cases, including proof of testing
  • Clearly document defects, and retests fixes in a timely manner in required test management tool
  • Effectively communication progress and status to test lead/manager
  • Deliver quality work to meet the needs of application teams and business partners
  • Work in a collaborative project environment with cross-functional teams
  • Assists in driving issues to closure
  • Complete assignments on time in accordance with the priorities identified by the test lead

Requirements

  • Retail experience a must
  • Prior experience testing Order Management System a must have
  • Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile)
  • Experience working on projects with multiple teams and resources
  • Experience working in an onshore/offshore model
  • Experience with HP ALM, JIRA, or other test and defect management tools
  • Organizational and planning skills
