The OIPA Administrator role involves managing the Oracle Insurance Policy Administration System, focusing on performance optimization and system maintenance. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in Oracle Database and WebLogic administration. Strong skills in performance tuning, security design, and data migration are essential. Job Responsibility:
Monitor, Analyze and Configure the OIPA Application and Database Servers to ensure optimal performance, components such as WebLogic Web/App, Database and Linux
Oracle Database Tuning activities such as query, index recommendations for performance and I/O consumption
Weblogic Application Server Tuning includes Clustering, CPU, Memory and Thread Pool recommendations
Design OIPA production and lower infrastructure environments
Design and review Security requirements based on business user requirements
Support complex deployments and migrations
Proactively assess short/long term design implications that would impact effective and efficient operations of the overall OIPA and the PAS ecosystem
Identify, recommend and implement standardization and consolidation opportunities as the system is implemented across the organization
Work closely with internal OIPA Configuration teams as well as Oracle Development team to manage OIPA Issues, requests and Incidents
Manage multiple development environments and projects to meet customer required time lines
Requirements:
5+ years of Oracle DB Support/Administration
5+ years of Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, Redhat JBoss, Tomcat and Coherence
OIPA v10 or v11 Database and Application Design, configuratoin or upgrade
Oracle System Administration Tools – OEM, Admin Server, Data Guard, Python or linux scripting
Data migration, management, partitioning experience
DI – Queue configuration and setup – troubleshooting of issues with JMS messaging with WebLogic or WebSphere
Experience with Cycle and DI monitoring and troubleshooting
Nice to have:
Oracle Exalogic and Exadata
OIPA Components User Management with security group entitlements and SSO enablement will be an asset
Deployment experience with Docker images / Kubernetes
Knowledge of AWS or Oracle OCI cloud computing
Working knowledge of insurance life and health products for individual, group and worksite markets
