Job Description:

Airswift is seeking a Oiler to work on a Contractor position for 3 months with an Oil and Gas Company.

Job Responsibility:

  • Follow the “Permanent Orders of the Chief Engineer”
  • Do the tasks given by the Duty Officer in the Engine Room
  • Help during watch duty
  • During watch duty, or when told by your superior, carry out lubrication, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment and tools, check tanks, and assist the Duty Officer in verifying the operation of equipment outside the Engine Room (air conditioning, cold chambers, etc.)
  • Take part in cleaning, treatment, and painting work in the Engine Room
  • Do general tasks in the Engine Room and other ship compartments as assigned by your superior
  • Report to the Duty Officer in the Engine Room any problem noticed in pressure and temperature readings, alarm signals, etc.
  • Assist in refueling maneuvers and other related tasks
  • Take part in tank cleaning work when requested by the Executive Officer and/or Chief Engineer, provided you have been trained for this service
