The Role As an Oil Spill Responder, you will support global oil spill response operations through response work, equipment readiness and ongoing technical training. Beginning with a 12 week training programme, you will help maintain response readiness by carrying out equipment maintenance, rehabilitation and practical operational work to the highest safety standards. As part of the duty team, you will also support spill incidents, exercises and preparedness projects globally, including travelling at short notice to assist with mobilisations and client activities.   • Assign and/or perform routine maintenance on marine diesel engines (e.g. oil changes, filter replacements, belt adjustments)
  • Diagnose and repair issues in diesel engines, propulsion systems, control systems, and hydraulic systems
  • Conduct sea trials to verify repairs and ensure vessels are fully operational and seaworthy
  • Retrofit or upgrade engines and equipment per manufacturer guidelines and industry standards
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and diagnostic results for each service or repair in MTC Pro
  • Train and guide team members or vessel operators in proper engine maintenance practices and troubleshooting techniques
