At MAAG we have recently started a new chapter in our 110 years history with ambitious growth plans for our business. For our Engineering Department we are looking for an Oil Lubrication Engineer. We are looking for ambitious and open for learning individual with a motivation and positive attitude to work and opening for new, challenging tasks.

Job Responsibility:

  • Specification and layout of oil supply systems for lubrication and control of large gear systems
  • Review of customer specifications and its application for the definition of the systems for specific orders
  • Design review and cost optimization of oil supply and control systems
  • Risk assessments for new designs and system changes
  • Development of new oil supply and control systems for new gear developments
  • Calculation and evaluation of related hydraulic components like pumps, coolers, filters, valves, pipings, tanks, breathers, switches, flow meters and connected instrumentation
  • Ensuring safety and reliability for the gear systems by surveying key operation data and an interlocking concept
  • Adaptation and modification of existing oil supply and interlocking systems to the site-specific needs in replacement projects
  • Technical product specific project management for new drive systems, replacement gears or spare parts
  • Clarifications with clients, sales, procurement, suppliers and project management for offers and new orders
  • Strong collaboration with gear designers, purchasing and suppliers of oil lubrication systems
  • Generation of technical documents like flow sheets, signal charts, outline drawings, component drawings, parts lists etc.
  • Support for service and gear designers at commissioning and troubleshooting
  • Customer contact during offerings, project execution and troubleshooting
  • Strong partnership with procurement and suppliers of lubrication systems and components
  • Technical specification, evaluation and selection of products
  • Technical support for procurement activities in cost reduction and supplier qualification
  • Driving for cost efficiency but at the same time for required reliability of systems and components
  • Representing the customer needs and industry standards from mining and cement industry during the specification and selection of products with suppliers

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree or similar
  • Strong at mechanical engineering, lubrication, hydraulics, measuring techniques and instrumentation
  • Excellent understanding of hydraulic components and flow principles, viscosity, filtration, heat balance, cooling and heating equipment, sensors, measuring instruments, signal processing, interlocking etc.
  • Pragmatic, problem-solving and proactive approach
  • Collaboration with internal teams in Italy, Poland and Switzerland
  • Open for changes and new solutions
  • Adaptive behavior to match with several specific situations and problems
  • Good communication skills, empathy and team spirit
  • Good English speaking and writing
  • Excellent leadership and ownership capabilities, taking responsibility for assigned projects and tasks
