Job Description:

Ofsted Registered Manager – Children’s Home, North London. We are a growing, forward-thinking children’s residential care organisation with homes across the Southwest, London, and a multi-home provision in Durham. As part of our expansion, we are seeking an exceptional Registered Manager to either join an established children’s home or support the development of new services in North London, with clear opportunities to open and lead homes from the ground up. You’ll work with children aged 7–17 who have experienced loss, instability, or trauma, supporting them to rebuild trust, confidence, and hope through trauma-informed, PACE-based practice.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and manage the home, ensuring smooth operations, staff development, and regulatory compliance
  • Act as Safeguarding Lead, prioritising children’s safety and welfare
  • Deliver child-centred, trauma-informed care and support children’s independence, education, and wellbeing
  • Oversee admissions, transitions, care planning, and accurate record-keeping
  • Build strong relationships with families, social workers, schools, and external agencies
  • Drive continuous improvement, audits, and compliance with all statutory requirements

Requirements:

  • 5+ years working with children in residential care, including 2+ years in a supervisory, Deputy Manager, or management role
  • Experience in LD (Learning Disabilities) or EDB (Emotional, Developmental, or Behavioural) settings
  • Proven track record of achieving at least a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating as a Registered Manager or senior leadership team member
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential Care (or equivalent, fully recognised)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements and Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015
  • Commitment to safeguarding
