Job Description

We're recruiting an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across a portfolio of Ofsted-regulated Independent Special Schools.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop relationships with Local Authorities and Commissioners
  • Increase occupancy
  • Identify new placement opportunities
  • Manage referral pipelines
  • Work closely with operational teams to support continued service growth

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' Business Development experience within Education, SEND or Children's Social Care
  • Strong understanding of EHCPs and Local Authority commissioning
  • Experience building relationships with Commissioners and stakeholders
  • Commercially focused with a proven track record of growing services
  • Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel

  • Data Integrity & Submissions: Manage critical HE regulatory returns and reporting, including OfS data submissions, NSS, TEF, and HESES/HEIFES returns
  • Audit Readiness: Oversee institutional preparation for external verifiers, university partner reviews, and major regulatory inspections from bodies such as Ofsted and the ESFA
