Meta is seeking an Offsite Technical Producer to lead the technical delivery of events and productions worldwide. Working closely with internal event managers and business stakeholders, they will own technical projects from planning through execution, partnering closely with cross-functional teams, and lead external vendors to deliver reliable, high quality experiences in time-sensitive, deadline focused and productive environments.
Job Responsibility:
Lead end-to-end technical delivery for offsite productions: define scope, technical approach, milestones, timelines, dependencies, and readiness for rehearsal/show days
Provide technical direction across event production systems (e.g, audio visual, streaming/broadcast/activation workflows, connectivity, recording), translating requirements into executable plans and vendor-ready scopes
Drive cross-functional collaboration with internal teams to deliver solutions aligned with business needs
Lead projects and programs across cross functional partner teams (e.g., workflows, tooling, standards, reporting, training/playbooks), with clear goals, milestones, and measurable outcomes
Drive continuous improvement using data and modern tooling (including AI where appropriate): identify recurring pain points, define success metrics, pilot solutions, and operationalize changes with partners/vendors to improve reliability, efficiency, and stakeholder experience
Manage vendor relationships including sourcing/vetting, setting expectations, overseeing delivery quality, and tracking performance
Own risk management and issue resolution, including rapid troubleshooting and root cause analysis across technical workflows
Enforce and evolve standards and best practices as technologies and event formats change
contribute improvements that scale beyond a single event
Maintain clear documentation and reporting (requirements, runbooks, decisions, status updates, post-event learnings)
Coordinate logistics (as applicable), including international shipping of IT/AV materials and event-specific assets
Required global travel may be significant (up to 70%) depending on business needs
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in technical event production, technical project/program management, or comparable IT/production environments
Hands-on familiarity with relevant technologies, which may include live event technical production (audio, video, mobile device casting, and lighting), broadcast/streaming, video/audio conferencing systems, switching/projection/formatting, recording/camera ops, and network fundamentals/site assessments
Practical experience in communication and stakeholder management, with demonstrated experience in translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences and influence cross-functional outcomes
Understanding of common event formats (e.g., Q&A, training, town halls, broadcast-style productions, trade show) and the experience to recommend and execute the right online, in-person, or hybrid technical approach for each
Practical experience in managing multiple work streams, operating under pressure, and delivering in ambiguous, high-visibility environments
Experience directing external vendors & agencies to meet quality, timeline, and budget expectations
Experience using data/metrics to track progress, evaluate outcomes, and improve execution
Nice to have:
International production experience or leadership, including multi-region execution, managing international vendors, and navigating cross-time-zone logistics and operations
Experience with digital tools (automation systems, AI, etc.) for technical planning (technical layouts and production planning)
