Job Description:

The role involves structural calculations for offshore steel structures, including ECA studies, fracture mechanics and crack propagation assessments, coordination with engineering teams, and preparation of technical documentation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform ECA and crack propagation studies
  • Conduct FFS fracture mechanics analyses per BS 7910
  • Apply offshore design codes (DNV, API, ISO)
  • Carry out structural analysis using SACS and Staad.Pro
  • Perform fracture mechanics simulations using Crackwise
  • Support engineering and drafting teams
  • Coordinate with international engineering groups
  • Produce calculation notes and drawings
  • Follow engineering procedures and quality requirements

Requirements:

  • 10+ years as a structural engineer on offshore topside EPC projects
  • 2+ years in fatigue and fracture mechanics for offshore structures or pipelines
  • Experience working with international engineering centres
  • Knowledge of offshore modular structural design
  • Proficiency in SACS, Staad.Pro, and Crackwise
  • Understanding of welded assemblies and common NDT methods
  • Strong documentation and reporting discipline
  • Strong English communication skills
