The position within Balance Sheet Reconciliation is responsible for reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts for a specific business segment, supporting compliance with the Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Substantiation Policy.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure Balance Sheet accounts assigned have been reconciled in line with BSRS Policy and standard/desktop documented procedure
perform reconciliations meeting policy requirements including exceptions reported in eRecon
determine and document root causes of recurring exceptions
report P&L at risk and operational reserves in eRecon
support implementation of strategic ledger and participate in reconciliation function UAT
coordinate audits and internal reviews
drive timely attestation of GL account keys
partner with reconciliation leads to drive monthly Account Review Forums and highlight exceptions
partner with Controller Transformation group for efficiency improvements
drive knowledge management practices
interact effectively in team meetings
mentor junior colleagues
assess risks and ensure compliance with policies
participate actively in global audits
create effective control environments to ensure adherence to policies
coordinate remediation of high and medium risk EUCs
Requirements:
Extensive years (0-2) of proven experience related to accounting, financial reporting and/or product control
ability to analyze complex set of financial data and knowledge of US GAAP / IFRS preferably in banking / financial services environment
ability to influence peers and business partners to take action necessary to achieve goals
proficiency with MS Project and MS Office Suite
financial management competencies
demonstrated ability to manage in a complex and dynamic environment
team building and mentoring skills
self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions
ability to support implementations and work closely with project teams
ability to coordinate with team members in distributed geographic environments
ability to work across functional areas
bachelor's/university degree or equivalent experience
