Job Description:

The Officer role at Citi involves trade transaction processing, reviewing and authorizing transactions, attending to customer queries, and contributing to trade operations projects. The role requires expertise in trade operations, ICC rules, and local regulatory requirements, along with strong communication and analytical skills.

Job Responsibility:

  • Trade Transaction Processing in Citi Trade processing Systems
  • Review and Authorize Transactions in Citi Trade processing Systems and sign documents in the capacity of authorized signer
  • Ensure transactions are processed efficiently, act as a SME (subject matter expert) and recommend process improvements
  • Attending to Trade related customer queries
  • Evaluate and recommend solutions to problems through data analysis, technical experience and precedent
  • Anticipate and respond to requests for deliverables with internal and external clients and vendors
  • Contribute to and collaborate with Trade operations projects as needed
  • Develop comprehension of how the Trade operations team interacts with others in accomplishing objectives
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Requirements:

  • 3 to 4 years’ experience in Trade Operations handling Import Trade products (LC, Bills, Shipping guarantees, etc.)
  • Understanding in ICC rules (UCP600, ISP98, URDG758, URC522) and Local Regulatory requirements pertaining to Trade Operations
  • Effective verbal and written skills
  • Effective communication and analytical skills
  • Sound knowledge in MS excel
  • Experience in team management would be an added advantage
  • Sound knowledge in Excel which includes excel formulars and Macros etc
  • Supervisory and Leadership Skills
  • Pro-active / project management skills

Nice to have:

CDCS/CSDG qualification would be an added advantage
