Job Description:

Reporting to the Lead Safety and Hygiene you will play a key role in supporting industrial hygiene monitoring and workplace health initiatives across Newmont Tanami Operations. This role focuses on collecting and analysing occupational health data, supporting compliance with statutory requirements, and assisting in the identification and control of workplace health risks. Your work will help ensure exposure risks are effectively monitored and managed, contributing to a safer and healthier workplace for our people.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct industrial hygiene monitoring and assist with workplace exposure assessments
  • Maintain and calibrate monitoring equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results
  • Collect, record and manage industrial hygiene data in line with statutory requirements
  • Prepare reports and documentation to support audits and regulatory compliance
  • Communicate monitoring outcomes and support implementation of corrective actions
  • Assist in workplace incident investigations involving occupational health risks
  • Support implementation of industrial hygiene programs, initiatives and campaigns
  • Maintain inventory and readiness of hygiene monitoring equipment and supplies
  • Participate in training and awareness activities to strengthen occupational hygiene capability
  • Assist statutory appointees in meeting legislative obligations under mining regulations

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience supporting industrial hygiene or occupational health monitoring programs
  • Understanding of workplace exposure monitoring and health risk management
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to collect and analyse data accurately
  • Ability to prepare reports and maintain regulatory documentation
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace health, safety and compliance
  • Current Australian driver’s licence
  • Ability to work in both surface and underground operational environments
