The Officer, Finance Accounting Analyst 2 based in Taguig, Philippines is a developing professional role. The Accounting Analyst 2 is a developing professional role which integrates in-depth specialty knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices; demonstrates good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare various regulatory and management reporting for various legal entities
Execute regulatory reporting including preparation and submission of regulatory forms and provide reporting guidance to legal entity managers or legal entity lawyers
Maintain records in support of the various filings
Maintain strong controls for various regulatory filings
Interface with Controllers, Legal, Citigroup Treasury, and Compliance staff on a global basis for information collection and issue resolution
Perform data analysis and data remediation
Support special projects assigned by management
Review and examine key controls for accounting process within the process handled
Identifies and resolves problems using independent judgment for assigned products/ business
Able to articulate own process along with its key controls and support reasoning with appropriate evidence in assigned area of work
Applies understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing objectives
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Requirements:
2 to 4 years’ experience, preferably in a similar field
Knowledge of Citi Finance Infrastructure and Reporting is a plus
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all levels of management
Strong organizational and time management skills to meet strict reporting deadlines
Database management skills a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
Willing to work on Night Shift to accommodate US time zone from 10 PM to 6 AM
BS or BA Degree in Accounting or Finance Required
