We are looking for an organized and proactive Office Services Associate to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia on a contract basis. In this role, you will support daily office operations, ensuring smooth functionality and a meticulous environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong customer service skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting while juggling multiple responsibilities effectively.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain office supplies and snacks by monitoring inventory levels and restocking as needed
Provide reception desk coverage during lunch breaks and other absences, ensuring a welcoming and meticulous environment for visitors
Coordinate and set up catered lunches for approximately 100 people twice a week, including receiving deliveries, organizing food presentation, and maintaining cleanliness during meal service
Assist with workstation setup for new hires and tidy up workspaces when employees depart
Support office moves by helping employees transition between spaces as the office expands
Handle mail and package logging, distribution, and delivery, ensuring timely and accurate processing
Assist with copying, binding, and scanning tasks, as well as troubleshooting office machinery when necessary
Uphold quality standards by ensuring documents and materials are prepared accurately and with attention to detail
Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver exceptional service and meet operational needs
Maintain accurate logs and records for office supplies, mail, and other operational activities
Requirements:
Proven experience in a customer service or hospitality role, such as in a restaurant, hotel, or similar fast-paced environment
Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks effectively
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a variety of personalities
Detail-oriented approach and excellent communication skills
Familiarity with office equipment, including printers, scanners, and copiers
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to follow established office procedures and policies
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and support various office functions as needed
