We are looking for an experienced Office Manager to support hotel front office operations in New York, New York. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a guest-facing hospitality setting and can provide steady leadership across multiple shifts. The person in this role will guide daily front desk activity, address service concerns with professionalism, and help maintain a seamless experience for guests and staff alike.
Job Responsibility
Direct front office activities on a day-to-day basis to keep guest services running efficiently throughout the property
Provide leadership coverage across morning, midday, and evening shifts, adjusting priorities as operational needs change
Serve as the acting manager when required, making informed decisions and supporting the team during daily operations
Coach front desk employees by answering questions, offering guidance, and helping resolve routine and escalated issues
Respond to guest concerns with tact and urgency, working toward effective resolutions that reflect strong service standards
Promote clear handoffs between shifts and maintain consistent communication with hotel staff to support continuity of service
Coordinate staffing coverage, workflow distribution, and other operational tasks to keep the front office organized and productive
Use tools such as Excel and Microsoft Teams to track activity, communicate updates, and support administrative needs
Assist with office-related duties including reception support, supply monitoring, and basic accounts payable coordination as needed
Requirements
Prior experience in a hotel, hospitality, or other high-touch guest service environment is strongly preferred
Background in front desk supervision, hotel office leadership, or a similar management-facing role
At least 1–2 years of experience leading staff or overseeing daily operations in a fast-paced setting
Demonstrated ability to manage guest relations and resolve complaints in a calm, attentive manner
Comfortable supporting team members across multiple shifts and handling changing operational demands with minimal direction
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams for communication, coordination, and reporting tasks
Familiarity with administrative office functions, receptionist responsibilities, office supply management, and accounts payable support
