We are looking for an experienced Office Manager to oversee administrative operations and ensure the smooth functioning of our office in Tatamy, Pennsylvania. This position requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining office efficiency, managing supplies, and supporting financial processes.
Job Responsibility:
Develops, presents, and monitors the annual operating and capital budgets
Oversees financial functions including accounting, purchasing, payroll, and investment of organizational funds
Ensures compliance with state and local financial regulations and reporting requirements
Oversees staff recruitment, performance management, training, and employee relations
Administers personnel policies, employee handbook, and labor agreements
Fosters a positive, productive workplace culture focused on service excellence
Supervises planning, maintenance, and improvement of roads, parks, facilities, and utility infrastructure
Coordinates with engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies on capital projects
Ensures compliance with environmental, safety, and public health standards
Serves as the primary point of contact for residents, businesses, media, and community organizations
Manages public communications, including newsletters, website updates, and emergency notices
Addresses citizen inquiries, complaints, and service requests promptly and professionally
Conducts research, prepares reports, and advises leadership on governance, land use, budgeting, and long‑term planning
Identifies opportunities for grants, partnerships, and community improvement initiatives
Leads or supports economic development and revitalization initiatives
Ensures operations comply with municipal codes, state laws, and federal regulations
Requirements:
Experience in municipal government, public administration, or financial management preferred
Strong understanding of budgeting and municipal financial reporting
Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work closely with elected officials and staff
