This position provides support services to clientele of the office by assisting and advising international students and scholars on office policies and procedures; preparing employment documentation related to on-campus employment authorization; advising on basic employment procedures as related to visa and tax status; managing the budget and business aspects of the office; and supervising the office’s student workers.

Requirements:
Strong knowledge of effective customer service and problem resolution techniques
Working knowledge of information systems and computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite and Banner or comparable programs used to produce documents, prepare reports, manipulate data, and scan/index documents
Demonstrated strong data entry skills and attention to detail
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population of international clientele
Demonstrated ability to interpret, apply, and explain complex policies, rules, and regulations
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and reconcile expense reports
Considerable experience in an administrative support role similar to an office manager
Considerable experience monitoring and reconciling transactions, budget, employment records
Considerable exposure to non-U.S. citizens and/or cross-cultural communication either through studying a foreign language, living/working abroad, or other means of exposure to diverse populations
Nice to have:
Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience with employment or tax regulations
Some training or experience with Banner
Some experience providing administrative support in a student-focused environment
Prior experience working with regulations applicable to international students and scholars
