Harry Design Studio is a provider of professional building design services, specialising in residential projects across the Greater Sydney area. Based in Maroubra, NSW, the studio works closely with homeowners, consultants, and councils to deliver high-quality design outcomes. We are seeking a motivated and organised full-time Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the studio. This role involves managing office systems, supporting directors and designers, coordinating documentation, and overseeing basic financial and compliance activities. Job Responsibility:
Oversee day-to-day office administration and operational activities
Develop, implement, and maintain office systems, procedures, and workflows
Coordinate schedules, meetings, and administrative support for residential design projects
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, councils, and suppliers
Maintain accurate business records, project files, contracts, and compliance documentation
Manage accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and basic bookkeeping functions
Liaise with external service providers including accountants, IT support, and suppliers
Monitor office expenditure and assist with budget control and cost management
Order office supplies and manage office facilities and equipment
Provide administrative and operational support to directors and design staff
Report to management on office operations, workflow efficiency, and administrative matters
Requirements:
Relevant qualification
Minimum 1 year of experience in an Office Manager or senior administrative role
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and office management systems
Reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented approach to work
