Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Office Manager/Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage the financial operations of our construction business in Saint Louis county, Missouri. This role is integral to ensuring accurate record-keeping, maintaining compliance with financial regulations, and supporting organizational goals through effective bookkeeping practices. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in construction accounting and a proactive approach to managing financial processes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintain precise and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, using accounting software
  • Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts and financial statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Handle full-cycle payroll processing, including tracking employee hours, calculating earnings, and managing deductions
  • Generate comprehensive financial reports, such as balance sheets and profit and loss statements
  • Monitor expenses, oversee budgets, and identify opportunities to optimize costs
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and company policies while maintaining organized financial documentation

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of AP, AR and Payroll processing
  • Demonstrated experience in bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and the ability to manage full-cycle payroll
  • Skilled in preparing detailed financial reports
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders

Nice to have:

  • Construction industry is a plus but not required
  • Experience with ProContractor/Viewpoint accounting software is a plus
