We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Office Manager/Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage the financial operations of our construction business in Saint Louis county, Missouri. This role is integral to ensuring accurate record-keeping, maintaining compliance with financial regulations, and supporting organizational goals through effective bookkeeping practices. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in construction accounting and a proactive approach to managing financial processes.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain precise and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, using accounting software
Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts and financial statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Handle full-cycle payroll processing, including tracking employee hours, calculating earnings, and managing deductions
Generate comprehensive financial reports, such as balance sheets and profit and loss statements
Monitor expenses, oversee budgets, and identify opportunities to optimize costs
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and company policies while maintaining organized financial documentation
Requirements:
5+ years of AP, AR and Payroll processing
Demonstrated experience in bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
Familiarity with payroll systems and the ability to manage full-cycle payroll
Skilled in preparing detailed financial reports
Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders
Nice to have:
Construction industry is a plus but not required
Experience with ProContractor/Viewpoint accounting software is a plus
