Job Description:

This position will report to the business manager and responsible for the day-to-day operations of the office: billing, cash application, purchasing, shipment follow up, and other tasks as needed.

Job Responsibility:

  • Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, process daily invoices/credit, help with collection of past due balance
  • Accounts Payable: invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
  • Reaching out to Carriers on logistics of shipments
  • Create purchase orders & track/order office supplies
  • Preparing monthly journal entries
  • Investigating and correcting account discrepancies
  • Making sure that accounts contained in the general ledger are correct
  • Additional ad-hoc projects as necessary

Requirements:

  • AA or BA/BS in Accounting or related
  • 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Excel and experience using an ERP software system (QuickBooks, Peachtree, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of accounts receivable & accounts payable
  • Account & bank reconciliation experience
  • General ledger experience highly desired
