Job Description

Randstad is seeking a team of 4 dependable, detail-oriented individuals for a short-term, 10-day physical office relocation project in the Cold Lake area. Working alongside an Access Lead and team, you will be responsible for systematically packing, labeling, and organizing office files and binders, and preparing them for transport.

Job Responsibility

  • File and Binder Packing: Pull files, binders, and folders from shelves and cabinets, ensuring they are packed into boxes in the exact order they were removed.
  • Inventory Tagging: Use barcode scanners, apply necessary labels, and clearly handwrite identification codes on on boxes to maintain accurate tracking logs.
  • Moving and Loading: Use carts and dollies to move packed boxes out of the building to the designated staging area and assist in loading them onto transport trucks (no heavy machinery or forklift operation is involved).
  • Group Coordination: Work efficiently with a total crew comprising four Randstad workers and three permanent employees to successfully hit daily site targets across 5 different local facilities.

Requirements

  • Stamina and Strength: You need to be physically capable of repeatedly lifting, handling, and transferring boxes weighing 25 to 40 pounds for the duration of the shift.
  • Communication Skills: Complete fluency in English is required to understand critical safety protocols and manage inventory systems accurately.
  • Commute: You are responsible for ensuring you have a dependable way to reach the main assembly point every morning (situated either in Cold Lake itself or roughly 20 minutes outside of town).
  • Mandatory Footwear: All applicants are required to bring and wear their own CSA-approved steel-toe work boots.
  • Pre-Screening Compliance: Successful candidates must pass a 7-panel drug & alcohol test + breathalyzer, a Criminal Record Check (CRC), and agree to a non-disclosure agreement.
  • Safety Training: You must be able to complete a mandatory 30-minute online safety orientation 2 days prior to the project start date.
