The Office Coordinator is responsible for the supervision and control of general office functions, including, but not limited to, ordering, AP and AR entries, sales entry, inventory entry, filing, cheque requisitions, payroll entry into Kronos, and financial analysis for the University of Manitoba and smaller district accounts. Primarily this individual supervises day to day data collection, and supervises or completes basic accounting reports. They assist unit management in completion of standard monthly management reports. They also manage the client meal plan, interacting with students as necessary.
Job Responsibility:
Supervision and control of general office functions
Ordering, AP and AR entries, sales entry, inventory entry, filing, cheque requisitions, payroll entry into Kronos, and financial analysis
Supervises day to day data collection
Supervises or completes basic accounting reports
Assist unit management in completion of standard monthly management reports
Manage the client meal plan, interacting with students as necessary
Responsible for the operation of all accounting systems and records (GFF and E4W)
Reconciles bank accounts and verify the bank balance with the general ledger
Ensures that written performance evaluations of supervised employees are completed as required
Leads regular preparation of relevant management reports

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
Minimum of 2 years experience
Experience in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Requires strong interpersonal skills
Requires effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle confidential information
Ability to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on client and customer service
Associates preferred
Minimum 1-2 years experience
