Job Description:

Join a professional and friendly team as an Office Assistant / Receptionist at a leading legal services provider. Support smooth office operations with administrative and reception duties, acting as the first point of contact for clients and visitors.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage all incoming and outgoing post, deliveries, and client payments
  • Maintain and update archiving systems
  • arrange file retrievals and collections
  • Photocopy large volumes of documents for court bundles, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met
  • Monitor and replenish stationery supplies
  • Run local errands as required
  • General administrative support, including basic IT or typing tasks
  • Answer incoming calls professionally and efficiently, taking and passing on accurate messages
  • Greet and assist visitors and clients, ensuring a professional and welcoming reception area
  • Copy ID documents in line with anti-money laundering requirements
  • Keep the reception and meeting areas tidy and presentable
  • Provide refreshments as needed
  • Maintain a helpful, flexible, and team-focused approach

Requirements:

  • GCSEs in Maths and English (A*-C / 9-4) or equivalent
  • Experience dealing with clients (in person and by phone)
  • Friendly, professional, and confident manner
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Well-presented, punctual, and reliable
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to manage time and priorities
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Good IT literacy and telephone handling skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to have:

  • Graduate in law
  • Experience working in a professional services or front-of-house setting
